Nous sommes deux sœurs jumelles…Everyone remembers those Demoiselles de Rochefort who sang and danced in pastel settings and waited for true love. After Les Parapluies de Cherbourg at the Théâtre du Châtelet and Peau d’Ane at the Théâtre Marigny, Jean-Luc Choplin presents a new production of Michel Legrand and Jacques Demy’s legendary musical at the Théâtre du Lido. This is sure to be the event of the 2025 season.

Juliette TACCHINO-Delphine Garnier
Juliette Tacchino is a French soprano acclaimed for the finesse of her musicality and the sincerity of her stage presence. Le Devoir describes her as “an excellent actress with impeccable projection and style.” A laureate of several international competitions – including the Jury’s Special Prize at the Sumi Jo International Singing Competition and the French Riviera Masters – she performs in recital, opera, and concert across Europe, Asia, and North America.
Her operatic repertoire spans from Baroque to contemporary works. Recent roles include Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), Mélisande (Pelléas et Mélisande), Sophie (Der Rosenkavalier), Ginevra (Ariodante), Phani (Les Indes galantes), Thérèse (Les Mamelles de Tirésias), and the Vixen (The Cunning Little Vixen). She has collaborated with renowned conductors such as Yannick Nézet-Séguin, David Stern, Nicholas McGegan, and David-Charles Abell, and has shared the stage with South Korean soprano Sumi Jo on tour in China and South Korea.
In parallel with her stage work, Juliette maintains an active concert career. She has appeared as a soprano soloist in Mozart’s Requiem, Mahler’s Symphony No. 4, Handel’s Dixit Dominus and Dettingen Te Deum, Lonely Child by Claude Vivier, and a contemporary work by Canadian composer Ana Sokolović. Juliette also gave a recital at the Chorégies d’Orange Festival.
She began her musical training in the children’s choir of the Opéra de Nice and went on to study at the Conservatoire de Nice, the Université de Montréal, and the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, from which she graduated. In 2024, she was featured in a profile by The New York Times. She is part of the 2024-2026 Opera Fuoco’s Atelier Lyrique and is a recipient of the Azrieli Foundation Award, the Louise Roy Scholarship, and support from the Cercle Richard Wagner.
In the 2025–2026 season, she will appear as Delphine Garnier in Les Demoiselles de Rochefort at the Théâtre Lido 2 Paris and embark on a recital and chamber music tour across the United States.

Maïlys ARBAOUI-WESTPHAL-Delphine Garnier
Maïlys ARBAOUI–WESTPHAL is a multidisciplinary artist, singer (mezzo-soprano), dancer and actress.
At the age of 4, she entered the Conservatoire de Montauban (82- France) in recorder and piano; she began dancing the same year. In her discipline of Rhythmic Gymnastics, she won the bronze medal at the French Championships the year she turned 15, while continuing to pursue her musical career.
In 2011, after passing her scientific baccalaureate with honors, she headed to Paris to study Musical Theatre (Choreia Art Studio). For 3 years, she trained in theatre (Studio Müller), dance (Choreia) and variety singing (Conservatoire de Levallois – Jasmine Roy’s class).
She then went on to study opera singing at the Paris Conservatoire, studying with Giselle Fixe and Valérie Millot. She graduated from the Conservatoire Régional de Paris in 2022, obtaining a DEM (diplôme d’études musicales) unanimously with the Congratulations of the Jury. That same year, after several years of study with Sébastien Marq and Julien Martin, she obtained her DEM in recorder.
She had the opportunity to sing for three years in an octet for Les Musicales de Quiberon in Brittany, and joined the prestigious ranks of the Chœur de l’Orchestre de Paris.
Alongside her musical studies, Maïlys spent a year studying in New York to perfect her dance skills at the Broadway Dance Center (majoring in Theater Dance), where she obtained her Certificate of Excellence in 2018. After that, she specialised in Lambada, a Brazilian dance that she taught all over the world, and was invited with her partner Gilson Damasco to various international festivals.
In the spring of 2025, Maïlys obtained her Prix de Chant lyrique at the Université de Montréal after 2 years of Master’s studies with Monique Pagé and Ariane Girard. She was awarded a “Très Bien, à l’unanimité du jury”. She will have the chance to perform the role of the Second Lady in Mozart’s The Magic Flute in the 2024 production of the Atelier d’opéra de la Faculté de Musique, and the role of Hänsel in Humperdinck’s Hänsel and Gretel in 2025. She will also play the role of Crystal in Little Shop of Horrors, a Université de Montréal production in 2024.
Characterised by her perseverance, gentleness and sparkling personality, Maïlys puts herself at the service of Art for the pleasure of sharing, with respect and passion for Culture and History.

Marine CHAGNON-Solange Garnier
Marine Chagnon Mezzo – Soprano
French mezzo-soprano Marine Chagnon has garnered acclaim as a member of the Paris Opera where she has to date impressed in the title role of L’Enfant et les Sortilèges, as Tisbe in La Cenerentola, Dorothée in Cendrillon and Zerlina in Don Giovanni, and appeared as Cicinella in Offenbach’s Les Brigands in Barrie Kosky’s new production under Stefano Montanari, as Giovanna in Rigoletto under Domingo Hindoyan, Javotte in Manon under Pierre Dumoussaud, and Thibault in Don Carlos led by Simone Young.
In a Gala concert at Palais Garnier, conducted by Gustavo Dudamel and broadcast by Arte, she enchanted with her standout performance of Bernstein’s Trouble in Tahiti, showcasing her versatility across diverse musical eras.
The 2025/26 season sees Changon debut at the La Scala Milan in the role of Mercedes in Damiano Michieletto’s staging of Carmen led by Myung-whun Chung, debut at the Opéra Royal de Versailles as Métella in La Vie Parisienne, and a return to the Opéra de Bordeaux in La Traviata staged by Pierre Rambert under Tito Ceccherini.
A passionate and avid recitalist, she regularly appears in concert and recital, with upcoming highlights including at the Academy Festival Ravel, Sweden’s Birgit Nilsson Festival, La Nuit de la Moutte, La Concert Poche, and Le Poème Harmonique.
A nominée in the category “Révélation Lyrique” at the 2023 Victoires de la musique Classique, Marine joins the distinguished group of artists celebrated by the award for a concert tour across France.
Marine Chagnon studied drama and modern-jazz dance alongside her vocal training and completed her master’s degree at the Paris Conservatoire before joining the the Opera Studio of Opéra National de Paris. She amassed considerable stage experience in her early years and first took to the stage as Euridice in Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo at Opéra de Dijon.
Adaptable to a wide range of musical styles, Chagnon has performed roles from early music through to contemporary works, garnering regular praise: as Scarlatti’s La Giuditta at Festival de la Grange au Lac with Les Accents, critics highlighted her “ardent and sensitive tone” (Bachtrack), and as Poppea in Monteverdi’s L’incoronazione di Poppea with Le Poème Harmonique at both Athénée Théâtre and Grand Théâtre de Dijon, her portrayal was described as “sensually radiant, disarmingly refined” (Forum Opéra). She soon joins Théâtre du Lido as Solange in Legrand’s Les Demoiselles de Rochefort.
Marine Chagnon’s expansive repertoire experience to date includes Cherubino (Le Nozze di Figaro), Lola (Cavalleria Rusticana), Annio (La Clemenza di Tito), L’Enfant, the Chinese Cup and the Cat (l’Enfant et les Sortilèges), Debussy’s Mélisande (Pelléas et Mélisande), Nancy (Albert Herring), Second Lady (Die Zauberflöte), Lucilla (La Scala di Seta), Kate Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly), Flora (La Traviata), Offenbach’s La Périchole and Venus in Monteverdi’s rarity Il ballo delle ingrate.
She has benefited from masterclasses with some of the opera world’s most revered artists, including Ludovic Tézier, Anne Sofie von Otter, Barbara Hannigan and Mireille Delunsch and has garnered numerous accolades, including the Young Performer’s Prize at the Concours International de Mâcon, the Special Jury Prize at the Concours International de Canari, and two distinctions at the Opéra National de Paris: the Prix de l’AROP and the Prix Dauphin du Verna from the Fondation de France.
Showcasing her passion for rare and evocative repertoire, Marine Chagnon launched her discography with a critically acclaimed recording on the Mirare label, Ljus, a collection of 20thcentury Swedish melodies recorded in collaboration with pianist Joséphine Ambroselli.

Sophia STERN-Solange Garnier
After studying literature at King’s College London, Sophia, a French and American mezzo-soprano, studied music and opera singing at the Royal Academy of Music and the Universität der Künste Berlin. She recently won the Académie Voix Nouvelles at the Royaumont Abbey and is a member of the 4th generation of the Opera Fuoco Lyric Workshop.
She has performed in productions in France, Germany and abroad, including: Mozart’s La Clemenza di Tito(Opera de Massy), Gregory Vajda’s Georgia Bottoms and Ravel’s L’Enfant et les Sortilèges (Uni. T Theater Berlin), Kiss me Kate (Salle Ravel Levallois), Nicolas Bacri’s Cosi Fanciulli (Théâtre des Champs-Élysées), Handel’s Giulio Cesare in Egitto and Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas (Shanghai Symphony Hall), Rumshinsky’s Die Goldene Kale (Örebro Konserthus), Bernstein’s West Side Story (Bal Blomet), Janáček’s The Cunning Little Vixen (Opéra Bastille), Rogers & Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music (Théâtre du Châtelet).
From baroque to contemporary music, via opera, Lied, folk, chanson and jazz, Sophia cultivates her passion for the link between music and text as a librettist/poet and multi-genre performer. She is also co-artistic director of the Lied berlied festival in Berlin.
She is absolutely delighted to be playing the role of Solange Garnier in Les Demoiselles de Rochefort at the Théâtre du Lido.

Valérie GABAIL-Yvonne Garnier
The French soprano Valérie Gabail began her career at the age of 15 with vocal jazz and musical theatre, before turning to classical music. She has worked in a wide variety of repertoires with prestigious musical ensembles and conductors. In 2006, she was nominated for the Victoires de la Musique classique awards in the lyrical revelation of the year category. She has gone on to explore new repertoires, collaborating with artists such as Marita Liulia, Kaija Saariaho, John Greaves, Olivier Mellano and Benjamin Biolay. After obtaining a degree in voice pedagogy in London, she set up her own voice coaching business and became a vocal technique teacher at the Centre de Musique Baroque de Versailles in 2023. In 2023/24, she played the role of Domina in Stephen Sondheim’s A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum at the Théâtre du Lido in Paris. Her recent collaborations include musical comedy shows at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, recitals with orchestra based on the songs of Edith Piaf, and regular collaborations with jazz pianist Edouard Ferlet, culminating in the release of the album Round Satie/ Plucked-Unplucked, dedicated to the musical world of Erik Satie.

David MARINO-Maxence
David Marino, finalist from Canada’s “The Voice”, is a singer making headway internationally, performing at prestigious venues and jazz clubs across the world. Marino performs regularly at Place des Arts in Montreal, and at the iconic Birdland Jazz Club in New York. He just completed his West Coast US tour starting in San Francisco, and recently made his European debut touring in Rome, Paris and London. Marino is an actor as well, and proud graduate of The Neighborhood Playhouse. He recently played the lead role of Melchior in Contact Theatre’s production of the Tony-winning musical Spring Awakening, and is looking forward to playing Tobias in Opera Maine’s upcoming production of Sweeney Todd. Aside from performing, Marino is a proud advocate for mental health causes, and through concerts, has helped raise $50,000 for the Jewish General Hospital in Montreal. Marino’s debut EP “The Debut Sessions” releases on all digital platforms on April 11 2025.

Paul AMRANI-Andy Miller
Paul AMRANI is a professional dancer and musical theatre performer, who recently toured the United States with Chicago the Musical. His most notable roles include: Anastasia (Prince Siegfried, understudy Dmitry), An American in Paris (partner to Lise), Sleeping Beauty (Prince Désiré), A Chorus Line (understudy to Bobby and Mike) and Hair (the Tribe, understudy to Berger). Regularly invited to teach across the United States, Paul enthusiastically shares his passion for dance. He holds a degree in musical theatre from Texas State University (BFA Musical Theatre).

Arnaud LEONARD-Simon Dame
After studying the violin and music theory, Arnaud turned to theatre. At the same time, he taught himself to play piano, guitar, bass, alto saxophone, and percussion. His pronounced taste for music also led him to train as a singer.
With a master’s degree in Applied Communication in hand, he enrolled at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles, where he won the First Prize (Prix De Coster) in Dramatic Art and the First Prize (Prix de l’Union des Artistes) straight away in Poetic Interpretation.
In Belgium, he has performed at the Théâtre Royal du Parc (in Cyrano de Bergerac and Les Fourberies de Scapin), at the Théâtre Le Public (in the Opéra de Quat’Sous), at the Maison de la Poésie in Namur, where he launched a series of summer shows (Octave in Les Caprices de Marianne, Dérame/Tartaglia in Le Roi Cerf, Fracasse in the play of the same name, Ruy Blas) and in other, sometimes more surprising, venues: 160 metres underground in the cave of Han-sur-Lesse in particular (where he created the music for the music-theatre versions of Le Fantôme de l’Opéra, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Peter Pan).
He arrived in Paris in 2007 to join the troupe of Disney’s The Lion King at the Théâtre Mogador (where he stayed for three years). He then took part in the show ‘Il était une fois Joe Dassin’, directed by Christophe Barratier. After a brief return to classical theatre (Alceste in Le Misanthrope and Mario in Le jeu de l’Amour et du Hasard), he joined the group Voca People at the Bobino Theatre and toured in France, Switzerland, Belgium, Spain, Canada, and La Réunion. In 2014, he made his debut at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Les Parapluies de Cherbourg, under the musical direction of Michel Legrand. In the summer of 2015, he played Cabaret Blanche at the Théâtre des Carmes during the Festival d’Avignon. In 2016, he played Bill Sax in Oliver Twist Le Musical, directed by Ladislas Chollat at the Salle Gaveau. He was in Hervé Devolder’s musical ‘Chance!’, at Théâtre La Bruyère and on tour (Molière 2019 for Best Musical) and more recently at the Théâtre du Gymnase. He performed the role of Merlin at the Folies Bergère, in Merlin la Légende Musicale. Last season, he played in Les Mystères de Paris at the Théâtre de la Huchette.
As a voice coach, songwriter and composer, he is also very active in dubbing and post-synching for film and television.
He has taught drama, poetic interpretation and singing, and was a lecturer in Oral Expression in Brussels.
